Thesis title:  Trauma outcomes comparison between different trauma systems in Australia. Comparison of trauma systems between states of Queensland, Tasmania, and Victoria

Thesis Summary: This will be the first study comparing the Tasmanian trauma system compared to other states especially Queensland and Victoria. We are looking to gauge long-term patient outcomes including mortality and morbidity, and additionally looking at patient-reported outcome measures as well.  We plan to map out a patient’s journey from time of injury to their reintegration into society at 3-5 years. This study will be a prospective study using validated trauma outcome scores and will utilize technology for better engagement as well as data custodianship.
