Process for Presentation of cases and issues for Committee Review
Hospital Departments, Individual Clinicians can Volunteer cases for review by the Committee
In a confidential forum, Statewide Trauma System or service-related issues are discussed by the members of multidisciplinary Statewide Committee.

Cases highlighting issues or concerns including guidelines, procedures and patient care are discussed providing feedback and evidence-based actions which are undertaken by the committee as required.
The committee meets every second month.
Recommendations may support:
- Adaptation or Establishment of Policy or Clinical Management Guidelines
- Educational aspects / Symposiums
- Advancement of Telehealth and other technical advances
- Initiates Projects / Communication to support recommendations
The Committee will close the loop with feedback until action is finalised.

Like every year, September is a busy month for the JTI team. On Thursday 4th, we held the Kenneth Jamieson Lecture, in collaboration with the RBWH Trauma Service. Professor Len Notaras AO took us on the journey of building up the National Critical Care and Trauma Response Centre in Darwin. At the Metro North Health Research Excellence Awards, Prof Jeff Lipman, our Chair of Trauma Related Clinical Research, received the Chief Executive’s Award.
