Thesis title: Geographic variations in sepsis across Queensland
Thesis Summary: Bloodstream Infections (BSIs) are a leading cause of infectious-disease related morbidity and mortality in many countries, including Australia. While BSIs following injury adversely impact patient outcomes and healthcare costs, there are important gaps in knowledge. My PhD aims to identify the potential factors affecting inequalities in injury-related BSIs in Queensland to help improve patient outcomes and reduce the disease burden.
