Empower Program Manager

Luen is a practicing advanced musculoskeletal physiotherapist and researcher and commenced as the part-time Jamieson Trauma Institute Empower Program Manager in 2025.  Luen has a diverse background being a Clinical Leader in the advanced practice screening Back Assessment Clinic at Princess Alexandra Hospital from 2006-2025.  She has spent many years as a Clinical Educator for the University of Queensland post-graduate physiotherapy Musculoskeletal Masters students and also teaches and lectures on the Queensland Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Screening Clinics and Multi-disciplinary Services Extension Education program.  Luen is a qualified physiotherapy prescriber and her most recent research has been investigating physiotherapy prescribing in an outpatient clinic at PAH. Luen still currently practices as an advanced musculoskeletal physiotherapist in private practice.
