Thesis title:  Virtual Automated Anatomical 3D Alignment of Bone Fragments – Solving the Fracture Puzzle

Thesis Summary: The goal of the project is to develop an automated procedure that will identify the major bone fragments in a 3D CT volume of a fracture site based on pre-existing segmentation (cortex and spongiosa as 3D models), and determine the pose changes required to reduce the fragments to their physiological position. The focus will be fractures which involve the joint/cartilage areas of a bone.
