Clinical Services Building and Central Energy Building sites

Central Energy Plant

Construction activities:

  • Ongoing installation of hydraulics, mechanical, fire protection, electrical services, and lifts.
  • Ongoing façade installation.
  • Ceiling installation on Level 3 and 4.
  • Fittings and fixtures installation on Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4.
  • Floor finishes and painting on Levels 3 and 4.
  • Ongoing central courtyard façade and glazing construction and retaining wall activities.
  • Fitout works ongoing for the Central Energy Building.
  • Linkway activities.
  • Commissioning activities.
  • Removal of site accommodation facilities. 

What to expect:

  • On Thursday 29 June a mobile crane will be used to remove site accommodation facilities. To maintain safety the internal slip lane next to the site facilities will be closed with pedestrian diversions in place.
  • Neighbours may experience some noise, dust and vibration impacts. Every effort will be made to minimise these impacts.

Multi-Storey Car Park site

Construction activities:

  • External footpath works.
  • Continuation of civil road works.
  • Operator booth works.
  • Services fit-off and commissioning.

What to expect:

  • Neighbours may experience some noise, dust and vibration impacts. Every effort will be made to minimise these impacts.

Building and Engineering Maintenance Services (BEMS) Building site (southern side of the hospital campus)

  • Minor finishing works.

New storage facilities site (western side of hospital campus)

Construction activities:

  • In-ground electrical and comms pits.
  • Electrical works.

What to expect:

  • Neighbours may experience some noise, dust and vibration impacts. Every effort will be made to minimise these impacts.

Mortuary and Hearse Bay works (services block refurbishment works)

Construction activities:

  • Ongoing external structure activities.
  • Perimeter wall framing.
  • Commencement of high-level service installation.

What to expect:

  • Increased construction activity and vehicle movements on the southern side of the hospital campus, near the public carpark.
  • Staff may experience some noise, dust and vibration impacts. Every effort will be made to minimise these impacts.
