Projects

The Comprehensive Breast Cancer Institute supports all breast cancer research activities across Metro North hospitals including:

  • Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital
  • The Prince Charles Hospital
  • Caboolture Hospital
  • Redcliffe Hospital
  • Surgical Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS)
  • Kilcoy Hospital

The CBCI research activities include clinical trials, implementation research and health economics studies in a holistic approach across the entire patient care pathway. Our vision is to rapidly translate research outcomes into clinical practice, to inform the decisions of policy makers, clinicians, and consumers and to ultimately improve the quality of life of breast cancer patients.

Research Collaborations and HDR Projects

Clinicians and researchers interested in collaborative research studies are invited to contact the CBCI Research Manager for further discussions. We also offer a wide range of HDR research projects suitable for PhD and MPhil degrees and invite students to email us their CVs and few lines about their motivation to discuss their suitability.
