HBI Burns research showcased on Channel 7 News for RBWH Giving Day
On Wednesday RBWH Foundation held its annual Giving Day which raised more than $562,000 to support advancements in patient care and research. Thank you to everyone who helped the Foundation through fundraising activities and donations. As part of the Giving Day, former RBWH patient and chef Matt Golinski visited Herston Biofabrication Institute to learn about the burns research program. HBI General Manager Mathilde showed him the virtual reality (VR) headsets being used in the burns ward to assist with pain management and distraction therapy.
