Prof Tanya Kairn
Director, Medical Physics
Tanya is the clinical physics training coordinator and radiation safety officer for Cancer Care Services at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. Her research covers a broad range of topics including the development of methods to improve the accuracy and reliability of radiation measurements made using radio-sensitive gels and films, as well as the use of electronic detectors for stereotactic and small field dosimetry.
Tanya’s most important recent work has been focused on the valuable clinical information that can be gained by investigating trends in large radiotherapy treatment and quality assurance data sets.
