QUT Real Health Panel Series – Navigating Trauma Care: Complexity, Costs, and Collaborative Solutions

QUT’s Real Health Panel Series unpacks the latest issues affecting the health and wellbeing of our communities.

The panel discussion will bring together leading clinicians, patients with lived experience researchers, rehabilitation engineers, and insurance scheme regulators to outline the complexities of traumatic injury care, rehabilitation and the escalating associated costs.
The expert panel will discuss the multifaceted clinical pathways required to manage severe injuries, including advances in acute interventions, long‑term rehabilitation, and the integration of emerging technologies.
The conversation will highlight the financial and operational pressures facing hospitals and health systems, alongside the broader societal and economic impacts of trauma.
By combining academic insight with practical industry and regulatory perspectives, the event aims to illuminate current challenges, showcase innovative solutions, and identify opportunities for collaborative improvement across the continuum of care.
