Clinical Services Building and Central Energy Building sites

Construction activities:

Emergency Department Bays

 

 

  • Ongoing installation of hydraulics, mechanical, fire protection, electrical services, and lifts.
  • Ongoing façade installation.
  • Ceiling installation on Levels 3 and 4.
  • Fittings and fixtures installation on Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4.
  • Floor finishes and painting on Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4.
  • Ongoing central courtyard façade and glazing construction and retaining wall activities.
  • Fit-out works ongoing for the Central Energy Building.
  • Linkway activities.
  • Continuation of roadworks on mental health road.
  • Commissioning activities.

What to expect:

  • Neighbours may experience some noise, dust and vibration impacts. Every effort will be made to minimise these impacts.
  • Single lane closure on hospital ring road leading into mental health managed by traffic lights and traffic controllers.

Multi-Storey Car Park site

Construction activities:

  • External footpath works.
  • Ramp way screen installation works.   
  • Continuation of civil road works.
  • Operator booth works.

What to expect:

  • Neighbours may experience some noise, dust and vibration impacts. Every effort will be made to minimise these impacts.

Building and Engineering Maintenance Services (BEMS) Building site (southern side of the hospital campus)

Construction activities: 

  • Concrete works to civil area.
  • Services fit-off activities.
  • FFE fit-off and final paint.
  • Commencement of commissioning activities.

What to expect:

  • Neighbours may experience some noise, dust and vibration impacts. Every effort will be made to minimise these impacts.
  • Single lane temporary closure at times during civil works

New storage facilities site (western side of hospital campus)

Construction activities:

  • In-ground electrical and comms pits.
  • Electrical works.

What to expect:

  • Neighbours may experience some noise, dust and vibration impacts. Every effort will be made to minimise these impacts.

Mortuary and Hearse Bay works (services block refurbishment works)

Construction activities:

  • Ongoing external structure activities.
  • Perimeter wall and full height wall demolition.
  • Commencement of high-level service installation.

What to expect:

  • Increased construction activity and vehicle movements on the southern side of the hospital campus, near the public carpark.
  • Localised corridor impacts during full height wall demolition managed by spotters.

Kitchen loading dock

  • Installation of new site compound

What to expect:

  • Increase construction activity around kitchen loading dock and generator area.
  • Temporary single lane and road closure around dock area during lifting activities
