That’s wonderful news.

What a good idea 🤩🤩✔️

Thanks Metro North Health, my father used this service last year for his prostate cancer treatment, saved all of the stress and hassle of him driving down.

This would've been great when my Husband was alive.

Good idea. Hope it continues

This is so so important!!!

Fantastic, I will need this service also, as was stressing about getting in there every day.

What a wonderful initiative 👏

They need something like this.

Such a great initiative

When I left the RBH I left behind the only family I cared about.

What a wonderful contribution. 🥰🥰🥰

The future of nurse-led procedures is here, with two gifted stars from Caboolture Hospital paving the way for more timely gastroenterology services across the region. 🤩🙌

Nurses Jincy and Marilyn have been selected as the first in Metro North Health to join the prestigious Queensland Nurse Endoscopist Training Program, marking a major step forward in nurse-led models of care.

👐 Jincy and Marilyn will undertake the two-year program, which combines advanced study with hands-on clinical training, preparing them to independently perform endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopies and gastroscopies.

“This training will help reduce waitlists and provide faster, high-quality care for patients with gastrointestinal conditions,” Jincy said.

“I’m so excited - we’re reaching milestones I never thought possible, and it’s wonderful to be the first Nurse Practitioner in Metro North to step into this role. We can really make a change and be role models for others wanting to advance their practice.”

Nurses! The absolute backbone of health care.

Amazing advancement for a nursing profession.

How wonderful Marilyn. So happy for you. Best wishes for this next very exciting chapter in your career!

Fantastic initiative. Well done ladies

👏 so good!!

Wow.. Amazing.. Congratulations both of you🤗

Good on you Marilynn congratulations

Congratulations 🙌

Well done

Congratulations Ladies, such an exciting time ahead for us CN’s to reach our dreams. 👏

Congratulations

So proud to be within a health service that pioneers, advocates and acknowledges the incredible skills of Nurses 🩷

Well done, Jincy. You did it!

Wonderful news! Definitely a step towards more advanced practices being taught and rolled out … this will also bring the lists down in numbers and being NP’s will add that holistic nursing care before, during and after procedures!

Congratulations and well done Marilyn 👏

Great work congratulations 🎊

Congratulations 🎊 👏 💐

Such a fantastic milestone for MNHHS. Congratulations to all involved. The introduction of nurse endoscopy services is backed by strong international and national evidence, with outcomes that consistently demonstrate safe, high-quality care, and patient satisfaction. Becoming a nurse endoscopist is no shortcut. It builds on years of clinical experience, followed by rigorous, specialised training over two years. This is a brilliant example of how thoughtful and collaborative workforce innovation can enhance outcomes, access and sustainability, while honouring the depth of nursing and medical expertise. Well done to the MNHHS team and all QH teams with Nurse Endoscopist models.

Finally, after many years of “road blocks,” frustration, & disappointment, a brave step for a courageous pair to pursue NP Endoscopist 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Now let’s hope this first is well supported by a positive nurturing team. Congratulations ladies.

Way to go Marilyn

Congrats Sisters 🙂 Exciting for the Nurse’s everywhere

Congratulations, wonderful achievement

An exciting development for the nursing profession! This is so fabulous to see

Great Team in Endoscopy at Caboolture Hospital -

When April walked the wards as a nurse, she never knew her interest in wound care would turn into a whole new career path in podiatry. 🦶 👣

As an Advanced Podiatrist, April works with teams including infectious diseases, vascular, orthopaedic, endocrinology, diabetes and a number of allied health colleagues at both Redcliffe and Caboolture Hospital.

"In my 13 years as a Podiatrist, I have worked with patients with a number of unique conditions relating to their feet, ankles and lower limbs," April shares.

"People who have an interest in physiotherapy and rehabilitation should consider a career in podiatry as there are so many physiological and structural connections that relate back to our feet."

Roshny and her team take sterilisation super seriously, to ensure our patients have a sparkling clean experience. 🫧 🧼

The Central Sterilising Unit (CSU) process hundreds of instruments and tools every day used in operating theatres, hospital departments and axillary services in locations throughout Metro North Health, including Kilcoy Hospital and Community and Oral Health facilities.

🧽 Nurse Unit Manager at Caboolture Hospital Roshny said the CSU is a fast-paced, high-precision environment where timing and accuracy are everything.

"Our team ensures that every instrument and tray is ready, safe and where it needs to be - so operating teams can focus on patient care without delays," Roshny says.

"Our work is behind the scenes, but it's absolutely essential to the smooth running of the hospital and community health services."

👀 Roshny and the CSU team are on the lookout for an Enrolled Nurse to join the ranks of this hard-working team. If you have what it takes and have an interest in this field, find out more today - smartjobs.qld.gov.au/jobs/QLD-CAB659147

An exciting new Podiatrist Trainee Program for podiatry students has opened, with those looking for a leg-up in a new career encouraged to apply here. 👇
