Clinical Services Building and Central Energy Plant site
Ongoing construction activities:
- Installation of Level 2 and 3 suspended slabs. Works include scaffold erection, formwork placement, reo installation and concrete pouring.
- Installation of precast floor beams and planks for internal hospital access road.
- Concrete pours for lift and stair cores.
- Installation of inground services.
- Continuing fitout and façade installation.
- Footpath rectification work near the McKean Street construction gate.
What to expect:
- The Clinical Services Building construction site will operate on Saturday 23 and Saturday 30 October, between 6am and 6pm.
- Partial footpath closure for approximately one day between Monday 18 – Friday 22 October, with pedestrian access maintained. Neighbours may experience some noise, dust and vibration impacts. Every effort will be made to minimise these impacts.
Multi-Storey Carpark site activities
Construction activities:
- Scaffold erection and formwork placement.
- Level 1 slab concrete pour.
- Concrete pours for lift and stair cores.
- Installation of electrical services.
What to expect:
- Increase in construction activity in this area.
- Partial lane closure of the hospital internal ring road on the north east side of the hospital campus as required until the end of October, during installation of electrical conduits. Two-way traffic will be maintained under traffic control.
- Neighbours may experience some noise, dust and vibration impacts. Every effort will be made to minimise these impacts.
Building and Engineering Maintenance Services (BEMS) Building activities
Construction activities
- Ongoing piling activities.
What to expect:
- Minor traffic delays, under traffic control, on the hospitals internal ring road during lifting activities.
- Neighbours may experience some noise, dust and vibration impacts. Every effort will be made to minimise these impacts.
New storage facilities site (western side of hospital campus)
Construction activities
- Civil works including excavation and back-filing.
- Installation of inground services.
What to expect:
- To maintain safety, a single lane closure on the hospital ring road, near the existing storage facility, will be required from Monday 18 October, for approximately three weeks (weather permitting). Temporary traffic lights will be in place with one-way access maintained. Motorists may experience short delays during this temporary closure.
- Emergency services’ vehicles will be prioritised.
- Neighbours may experience some noise, dust and vibration impacts. Every effort will be made to minimise these impacts.
