The Caboolture Respiratory Clinical Measurement Department offers a range of lung function testing services for people who may have a respiratory disease. The department is located within the Specialist Outpatients Building at Caboolture Hospital. When you arrive, please check-in by visiting the reception desk. - Spirometry
- Bronchodilator Responsiveness Testing
- Gas Transfer
- Lung Volumes
- Respiratory muscle pressure assessment (MIPs/MEPs)
- Fraction of Expired Nitric Oxide (FeNO)
- Six Minute Walk Tests
- Bronchoprovocation Testing (Mannitol Challenge)

How to access this service
No external referrals are accepted for this service. You can only access this service when you are staying in hospital or if you have been referred by a hospital clinician.
You will receive an appointment letter with a QR code/link to access important information regarding preparing for your test.

What to bring
Each time you visit us
- Your Medicare card
- Private Health Insurance card (if you have one)
- Health Care card and/or Concession card (if you have one)
- Current medications (prescription, over the counter and herbal medicine)
- Glasses, hearing aids
- If you use any inhalers, please bring them with you
- Any walking aids you currently use (walking stick, 4-wheel walker etc)
