Dr Rachel Chalmers

Rachel is a biomedical engineer and researcher contributing to HBI’s craniofacial and rehabilitation engineering initiatives. Her expertise includes advanced manufacturing workflows using parametric modelling and 3D‑printing, supported by specialised research in spine biomechanics and paediatric health.

She has presented award‑winning research at national and international conferences and has eight years of tertiary teaching experience, including roles in unit coordination and curriculum development.

Rachel also brings industry experience from major medical device companies, particularly in surgical supply and quality assurance.
