Queensland Trauma Education
It has been another busy period for Queensland Trauma Education, an initiative of the Clinical Skills Development Service (CSDS) in partnership with the Queensland Trauma Clinical Network and JTI. Since January the team has run three courses at CSDS and six on-the-road programs to Stanthorpe, Moranbah, Thursday Island, Kingaroy, Longreach and Emerald. To date, an additional 28 sites across Queensland have submitted an EOI to participate in the program.
Metro North and QUT awarded grant for COVID-19 surface research
Leading researchers at Metro North Hospital and Health Service and QUT have been awarded more than $500,000 from the Australia-India Strategic Research Fund to assist with their work into virus reduction from surfaces.
“Mental Health after Trauma” project grants
Jamieson Trauma Institute are offering a maximum of two grants with budgets up to $25,000 and one grant with budget up to $40,000. We will fund projects with the goal to contribute to improving rehabilitation outcomes following trauma in a number of priority areas.

Clinical Guidelines for Major Incidents and Mass Casualty Events
The clinical guidelines for use in major incidents and mass casualty events was developed by NHS England following a period of multiple incidents that presented a range of challenging clinical scenarios such as blast injury, penetrating injury and the use of chemical agents, unlike those seen in day to day practice.
