Caboolture Hospital Outpatient Services Department Imaging review – Update #4
Metro North Health has completed its Caboolture Hospital Outpatient Services Department Imaging review.
All 21, 491 scans have now been reviewed and cleared by a team of specialists, with all affected patients contacted.
Thirty-eight patients have been contacted for follow-up, with Metro North Health working closely with these patients to ensure they receive the care they need.
Patient privacy and confidentiality remains a core priority for us, and we are unable to share specific details about the impacted patients.

Since the error was discovered, Caboolture Hospital immediately strengthened its processes to ensure a rigorous approach to medical imaging review is upheld by all clinicians.
Patients are reassured that this thorough review process has identified any risk and all patients who need follow-up have been contacted directly.
During the review process, Metro North Health heard from and supported patients via its dedicated hotline, which was stood up to ensure any concerns could be addressed directly. This hotline has now been closed.
