Fracture Clinic
The Redcliffe Hospital Fracture Clinic treats a range of acute adult and paediatric fractures and some soft tissue injuries
Conditions treated
The Fracture Clinic sees patients of all ages and manages all fractures of the appendicular skeleton (as opposed to axial skeleton, which includes skull, spine and ribs).

Depending on the injury a fracture could be managed by one or multiple health professionals including Orthopaedic Specialists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Registered Nurses, and Plaster Technicians.
Referrals to the Fracture Clinic will be triaged by the multidisciplinary team who will decide upon the best treatment plan and the most appropriate clinical team. This may be discharge back to the GP.
