From late September 2020, the main entry into Caboolture Hospital has been temporarily moved to the rear of the hospital – this is expected to be in place until 2022

New entry to Caboolture Hospital

From Monday 21 September, all non-urgent patients, visitors and staff at Caboolture Hospital will enter through a new temporary main entry from Mewett Street.

Caboolture Hospital is undergoing a major expansion and redevelopment to build a bigger and better hospital with more health services and car parking for the community.

By 2023, the $394.6 million Caboolture Hospital Redevelopment Project will deliver a new five storey Clinical Services Building, 130 new beds, refurbished spaces in the existing hospital, expanded health services and a new Multi-Storey Carpark.

From Monday 21 September, all non-urgent patients, visitors and staff at Caboolture Hospital will enter through a new temporary main entry from Mewett Street.

The new entry point will include a new patient drop-off/pick-up zone, information booth, food truck, maps and directional signage, to ensure people of all abilities can safely and easily navigate the new entry point.

Patients and visitors arriving by car should enter via the access road from the roundabout on Mewett Street and continue past the temporary staff carpark. The public carpark can also be accessed via Bury Street, off Charles/Manley Street.

Emergency drop-off will still be located at the front of the hospital with vehicle access via McKean Street. It is expected this arrangement will be in place until late 2022.

The opening of the new temporary main entry is an exciting step towards building a bigger and better hospital for the Caboolture community.

It marks the start of major construction at the front of the hospital, which will be the site for the new five-storey clinical services building and multi-storey carpark.

Construction at the front of the site also triggers the closure of the public carpark, currently located at the front of the hospital.
