Site Activity Update – Monday 16 to Friday 27 May 2022
Permanent power connection works for new Clinical Services Building
The first stage of works to connect power supply to the new Clinical Services Building is complete. The second stage of works, which involves underground investigations into existing Energex conduits, digging at existing pits, and pulling new cables has commenced. These works begin at the McKean Street roundabout and continue north along Pettigrew Street to the substation on Jensen Road. These works will take approximately three months to complete (subject to weather and ground conditions). Please see map below for alignment and locations of temporary work sites.
What to expect:
- Reduced speed limits, partial lane closures and footpath diversions along Pettigrew Street, Lindwall Street and Jensen Road. Changes are anticipated to be in place for two to three weeks before moving to the next location.
- All works will take place within road reserves. We do not anticipate the need to access private properties.
- Some on street parking may be impacted temporarily.
- Traffic controllers safely directing pedestrians and vehicles through the work zones.
- Every effort will be made to minimise construction impacts during these works
