Site Activity Update – Fortnight commencing 1 October 2021

 Public holiday – Monday 4 October

The Caboolture Hospital Redevelopment construction sites will not operate on Monday 4 October due to the Queen’s Birthday public holiday.

Clinical Services Building and Central Energy Plant site

Construction activities:

  • Ongoing installation of Level 2 and 3 suspended slabs. Works include scaffold erection, formwork placement, reo installation and concrete pouring.
  • Installation of precast floor beams and planks for building slab and internal hospital access road.
  • Concrete pours for lift and stair cores.
  • Installation of inground services.
  • Commencement of fitout and façade elements.

What to expect:

  • Neighbours may experience some noise, dust and vibration impacts. Every effort will be made to minimise these impacts

Nightworks for signalised Intersection, McKean Street

As part of the final works for the new signalised intersection for the Caboolture Hospital Redevelopment Project, additional road line markings and footpath tactile items will be installed on the northern side of McKean Street.

To complete this work safely and to minimise traffic impacts, Lendlease will undertake nightworks next Tuesday, 5 October

What to expect:

  • Works to commence from 2pm next Tuesday, 5 October to 12am Wednesday, 6 October on McKean Street. 
  • Partial lane closure on the northern side of McKean Street with two-way traffic and pedestrian access maintained
  • Traffic controllers safely directing pedestrians and vehicles through the work zone (where required).
  • Reduced speed limit along McKean Street.
  • Neighbours may experience some noise during these works. Every effort will be made to minimise noise impacts.

Multi-Storey Carpark site activities

Construction activities:

  • Scaffold erection and formwork placement.
  • Level 1 slab concrete pour.
  • Concrete pours for lift and stair cores.

What to expect:

  • Increase in construction activity in this area. 
  • Neighbours may experience some noise, dust and vibration impacts. Every effort will be made to minimise these impacts.

Building and Engineering Maintenance Services (BEMS) Building activities

Construction activities:

  • Piling rig delivery to site on Wednesday 6 October.  
  • Commencement of piling activities.

What to expect:

  • Partial road closure on the hospital’s ring road, adjacent to the BEMS building site, during delivery of the piling rig. Two-way traffic will be maintained under traffic control.
  • Neighbours may experience some noise, dust and vibration impacts. Every effort will be made to minimise these impacts.

New storage facilities site (western side of hospital campus)

Construction activities

  • Civil works including excavation and back-filing.

What to expect:

  • To maintain safety, a single lane closure on the hospital ring road, near the existing storage facility, will be required from Monday 18 October for approximately seven days. Temporary traffic lights will be in place with one way access maintained. Please note motorists may experience short delays during this temporary closure.
  • Neighbours may experience some noise, dust and vibration impacts. Every effort will be made to minimise these impacts.
