Video calls
These instructions apply to patients at the The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH). Instructions for patients at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH) will be available soon, or ask your doctor or nurse.

If we have scheduled a video call with you, we have a Facebook Messenger account you can reach us on.
We appreciate a lot of you already have this app on your phone and you are familiar with it, and it means you don’t need to download new apps and set up accounts to speak to us “face-to-face.” Do not worry if you are not familiar with or do not use Messenger, as we can use an alternative method to video chat if required.
1. To find us, open your Facebook Messenger app.
2. Click on the search tab at the top of your screen:
3. Type Tpch Lacc as written here and you should see this account:
4. Send us a message so we can approve the request:
5. We can then speak via the video chat feature.
Please do not contact or message with queries or concerns, especially urgent ones.
It is not checked regularly, and only used for scheduled calls. Any queries or urgent concerns should be escalated to your nurse.
