Dr Andrew Foster awarded Damian McMahon prize
Dr Andrew Foster was awarded the Damian McMahon prize for best trauma paper at the 2022 Royal Australian College of Surgeons (RACS) Annual Scientific Congress (ASC).
Jamieson Trauma Institute’s annual showcase 2022
The Jamieson Trauma Institute’s annual showcase event took place on the 24th March 2022. The 2022 event was a huge success with over 70 attendees online and approximately 100 in person, including Acting Deputy Director-General Shelley Nowlan, and Board Chair Jim McGowan.
Andrew Foster Awarded Best Scientific Registrar Paper for 2022
Dr Andrew Foster was awarded the Bill Crawford Award for the best scientific registrar paper at the Australian Orthopaedic Association Queensland Branch meeting in Noosa.
Professor Lipman receives highest honour
Professor Jeffery Lipman AM has recently received his Doctor of Medicine – Research from the University of Queensland (UQ). This degree is viewed as one of UQ’s highest awards and recognises a lifetime of outstanding work.

Dr Andrew Foster has been awarded the prise for Best Registrar Paper nationally at the Australian Orthopaedic Associated Annual Scientific Meeting for the project Developing a Bacteriophage Hydrogel for the Treatment of Orthopaedic Infection.

Associate Professor Cliff Pollard AM is a former chair of the Queensland Statewide Trauma Clinical Network, Director of the Queensland Trauma Registry and Director of Trauma Service at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH).
