COVID-19
Help stop the spread and protect your mob from COVID-19.
COVID-19 is a virus that affects your nose, throat and lungs. If you are sick with COVID-19 your symptoms might include; feeling hot all the time, coughing, a sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, feeling really tired, diarrhoea, vomiting or nausea, loss of smell and/or taste.
This virus can spread from person to person usually from an infected person who coughs or sneezes near others. It can also spread by hands and surfaces, including taps, tables and mobile phones.
Anyone can be affected by COVID-19, but people with a weaker immune system and chronic health conditions are more likely to get seriously ill. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with chronic health conditions (such as asthma, diabetes and heart disease) are at higher risk, particularly Elders.
Keeping up to date with the current health advice will help keep you, your family and community safe.
When looking for information about COVID-19 use trusted sources such as the Queensland Health or Australian Government websites. You can also yarn with your doctor or health worker.
