Recipients of the second round of Metro North Clinician Research Fellowships have been announced which awards up to five Fellowship awards annually, specifically designed to allow Metro North’s emerging and highly skilled clinician researchers to develop and advance a body of research aligned to the Research Strategy.
Metro North staff have been recognised for outstanding achievements at the 2019 Queensland Health Awards for Excellence. Associate Professor Kerstin Wyssusek and Dr Peter Russell were among those recognised, as well as Metro North based Queensland Occupational Violence Strategy Unit.

Working alongside an expert team, Alicia and other researchers have moved away from GRV monitoring and, under a new protocol, have improved health outcomes for patients.
