Site Activity Update – Fortnight commencing 4 May 2021

The project hotline, 1300 144 425 is operational and our team can be contacted from 6am – 6pm, Monday to Friday. If you are calling outside of these hours, please leave a detailed message and one of our team members will return your call on the next business day.

Construction activities for the new Clinical Services Building

We are excited to announce that on Saturday 24 April, our second tower crane, named Bob by Emilia at Caboolture Special School, arrived on site. Bob will work next to our first tower crane, Lifty Shifty, and will help to build the new Clinical Services Building.
From mid-May, both tower cranes will be operational so make sure you look up and see them hard at work!
Piling activities on the Clinical Services Building site are due to be completed in early May. The piling rig will then be demobilised and relocated to the multi-storey carpark site.

Inground services works continue for the new Clinical Services Building. Large pre-cast beams will be delivered to site week commencing Monday, 3 May. These will create the first-floor structure of the building. Pile cap construction will also continue, along with the first vertical pours of stair/lift core walls and columns.

What to expect:

  • Increased construction activity in the area.
  • Neighbours may experience some noise, dust and vibration impacts. Every effort will be made to minimise these impacts.
  • Minor traffic delays during delivery of pre-cast beams.

  • Single lane closure managed under traffic control.
  • Neighbours may experience some noise, dust and vibration impacts. Every effort will be made to minimise these impacts.

Multi-Storey Carpark activities

On the north-east side of the project, the team has been busy with bulk excavation and preparing the site for piling activities to commence in early-May (weather permitting).

What to expect:

  • Increased construction activity and vehicle movements in this area.
  • Neighbours may experience some noise, dust and vibration impacts. Every effort will be made to minimise these impacts.

McKean Street pedestrian diversion

A small section of footpath on the south-east side of McKean Street (refer map below) is temporarily closed. The footpath will remain closed with a pedestrian diversion in place until the completion of the new multi-storey carpark in late-2022.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.
What to expect:
• Footpath closure until late-2022.
• Alternative pedestrian access maintained.
• Pedestrian diversion signage in place.
