Meet Eileen Moore: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurse Navigator at Caboolture Satellite Health Centre

Eileen Moore
Eileen Moore, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurse Navigator and proud Gooreng Gooreng women joined the Caboolture Satellite Health Centre (Kabul) team in 2024.
In her role, Eileen continues to provide support and cultural advocacy for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients that present to the Centre’s Minor Injuries and Illness Clinic.
“I will follow up with a phone call after their patients visit and provide clinical guidance and link them with support that they may require,” Eileen said.
“We know that health is far greater than the reason for a presentation, so we hope to capture any need for further assistance, support or navigation through social wellbeing.”
Each week, Eileen has the privilege of connecting with the local community by getting involved in community events, yarning circles and linking in with other community-controlled organisations.
“By getting out and involved in events I then build those connections for community to reach out and access services and initiate referrals,” she said.
Eileen hopes to inspire young adults commencing their healthcare career and participating as an active member of the team.
“I look forward to sharing my knowledge with the team, building on my knowledge and resources in this space, growing our connection to Country and Elders in the area, and continuing our journey to health equity.”
