Caboolture Hospital’s new Emergency Department is now open!

Emergency patients should now come to the front of the new clinical services building.

If arriving by car, use the main entry via the traffic lights on McKean Street and follow the road to the right to find the new drop-off area.

There is also pedestrian access from McKean Street (opposite St Columban’s College).

The new Emergency Department is more than three times larger in size (compared to the previous facility).

It heralds an important new chapter for health care services in the Caboolture community, including:

  • Dedicated 12-bay paediatric Emergency Department
  • More medical imaging facilities
  • Additional resuscitation bay for critically unwell patients
  • Ophthalmology room

Construction work continues to finalise the hospital’s new main entry, including access from the new multi-storey car park.

Please follow directional signage and instruction from staff.

The previous Emergency Department has now closed. Work will start early in the new year to refurbish that space for other much-needed clinical services, including cancer care.

Non-urgent emergency care is also available at several locations, including:

  • Caboolture Satellite Hospital Minor Injury and Illness Clinic
  • Metro North Health Virtual ED
  • Call 13 HEALTH (13 432 584),
  • Health Hub Doctors Morayfield Minor Accident and Illness Centre or your local GP.
