New Children’s Outpatient Department – under construction

A new Children’s Outpatient Department is being built at Caboolture Hospital to meet the needs of our growing community.

What will be in the new Children’s Outpatient Department?

The new Children’s Outpatient Department was co-designed with Caboolture Hospital parents and kids, and will have:

• an accessible ramp to the building
• a child-friendly waiting room with
• four bathrooms
• a parents room
• comfortable chairs
• space for prams and wheelchairs.
• 18 consultation rooms including
  • Measurement and Electrocardiogram (ECG) rooms
  • Audiology testing booths
  • treatment spaces
• offices for staff.

Where will the new building be?

The new Children’s Outpatient building will be next to the current Specialist Outpatients building.

Will car parking be impacted?

Yes. The new space is being built on car park P3.

Car park P3 closed on 8 June 2026.

P1 and P2 are the best car parks for Specialists Outpatients.

When will the new building open?

The new Children’s Outpatient Department is expected to open in mid-2027.
