Dr Chris Richmond
Clinical Geneticist
Dr. Richmond completed his training as a general paediatrician in QLD before undertaking a specialty fellowship in clinical genetics at the Victorian Clinical Genetics Services and RBWH. Dr Richmond has clinical and laboratory experience in molecular genetics and genomics which place him well to assist families in navigating new developments in genetic testing. Dr. Richmond is a senior lecturer at Griffith University and has published and presented in areas of paediatric rare disorders & genomics, skeletal dysplasia and heritable cardiomyopathy. He is the state lead for a number of national projects in genomics and rare disease. His portfolio at GHQ includes support of digital systems and education/upskilling of clinicians in genetics. Dr. Richmond has led the Genetics Immersion Program at GHQ, hosting medical trainees in various specialties.
