Brenda is a registered Genetic Counsellor working in the field of general genetics at Genetic Health Queensland. Brenda has been working as a genetic counsellor for close to 15 years; with experience locally, interstate and in South Africa. Brenda has experience in general, prenatal, neurogenetics and familial cancer. She provides patient-centred, equitable genetic counselling for individuals and families throughout Queensland; both in-person at RBWH and via telehealth. Together with her colleagues in 2023, Brenda has helped establish the first multidisciplinary inherited retinal dystrophy clinic in Queensland, held at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. Brenda is an active member of the Human Genetics Society of Australasia and the Australasian Society of Genetic Counsellors.
