Vrunda is a registered genetic counsellor working at Genetic Health Queensland, in the Brisbane office and in private practice. Vrunda has nearly 10 years’ experience in cancer genetics and in general genetics. Vrunda has developed a keen interest in the field of endocrine genetics and participates in the multidisciplinary genetics + endocrinology clinic at PAH. Being a migrant herself, Vrunda is well aware of how a person’s cultural background affects their decision making about health.
Vrunda has a strong background in education, and she regularly supervises genetic counselling students on their placements. She enjoys being sessional lecturer, and content developer for university courses, whenever an opportunity arises. She is the community advisor for the South Asian Genes and Health in Australia (SAGHA) study at University of Queensland. She is also a member of HGSA/ COSA cancer SIG.
