Haemophilia Centre (Queensland)

The Queensland Haemophilia Centre is a state-wide service based at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. It is closely associated with a similar service at the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital. The Centre provides multidisciplinary care for those with Haemophilia, von Willebrand’s disorder and other inherited bleeding disorders. 

Services include:

  • specialist haemophilia nursing
  • Haemophilia Physiotherapy
  • Haemophilia Social Work and Psychology Services.

Coming to the Centre

The Centre is located on Level 4 of the Joyce Tweddell Building. Check in at the main reception desk in the waiting room. If you are feeling unwell when you arrive, please tell the reception desk, so a nurse can see you straight away.

Weekend and after hour access

The main access doors are locked by security between approximately 10.00pm and 6.00am. To access the hospital, it is go through the Emergency Department. Please notify nursing staff if you anticipate being locked out of the ward or the Joyce Tweddell Building, or if you have any family members expected after 10.00pm or before 6.00am.
