Bishop William Morris

Bishop Morris is a member in the category of Pastoral Care on the RBWH HREC. He was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Brisbane on 28 June,1969 in St Stephen’s Cathedral, Brisbane and was appointed the fifth bishop to the vast Diocese of Toowoomba in November 1992. He has an honorary degree of Doctor of Theology (DD) as well as Doctor of University (honoris causa) University of Southern Queensland. He is involved in Seminars, Retreats and Formation programs as well as being invited to contribute to the production of numerous publications. In 2014 he published a book entitled, Benedict, Me and Cardinals Three. Over the years he has served on many Committees as a member of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference and the Queensland Bishops Conference, including as Chair of the Australian Social Justice Commission, and Chair, Bishops Commission for Justice, Development and Peace.
