Who are we?
The Allied Health Research Collaborative (AHRC) is a thriving research group based at The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH) providing direct research support and leadership across allied health disciplines. Our clinicians bring clinical insight integrated with the latest evidence to lead impactful, collaborative translational research dedicated to improving healthcare delivery and outcomes.
Allied Health Research Impact
In 2024, AHRC and Allied Health researchers at TPCH published over 70 peer reviewed manuscripts and were Investigators on new grants totaling over $7 million dollars. New research funding was awarded to Allied Health researchers from a range of agencies including the National Health and Medical Research Council, the Medical Research Future Fund, The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation, and Collaborative for Allied Health Research, Learning and Innovation (CAHRLI). The group supervised over 30 higher degree research students (PhD and masters), with three students completing their PhD/Masters in 2024.
For patients and consumers
At TPCH, the health needs of our patients drive our research focus. As a patient or a health care consumer in Metro North you may be asked to participate in research or clinical trials. The Metro North ‘for patients and consumers’ website provides information about participating in research. Read more about participating in research for patients and consumers.
