Patient Support Officer David keeps everything shipshape at STARS

STARS Patient Support Officer, David Meredith
David Meredith is one of our fabulous Patient Support Officers at STARS, having been with STARS from the very start.
David previously worked in patient support in Wyong and Tweed Heads but moved to Queensland to be closer to family.
For David the shift work associated with his role is something that suits his lifestyle.
“I’ve worked different shifts over my career but I like the afternoon shift as it gives me time to do things during the day.”
David works in the clinical and procedural areas at STARS, getting everything shipshape.
“When you first walk in things can be messy, but I leave it clean, tidy and ready for the nursing staff in the morning.”
“It is satisfying to know that you’ve done a good job and it is appreciated by the clinical staff.”
“STARS is a great place to work, the doctors and nurses are very friendly, and our Patient Support Officer team all get on really well.”
When David is not at work he enjoys reading self-help books.
“A favourite book is The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz – based on ancient Toltec wisdom.”
“I also go to a regular Tai chi session in the Brisbane Botanical Gardens. I find it very relaxing.”
David also hopes to one day visit the Tasmanian wilderness.
