Permanent power connection works for the new Clinical Services Building

The underground works for the new power supply connection are now completed with minor reinstatement and landscaping works within road reserves to finish.

Clinical Services Building Joinery

Clinical Services Building and Central Energy Building sites

Construction activities:

  • Ongoing installation of hydraulics, mechanical, fire protection, electrical services and lifts.
  • Ongoing façade infill and screen installation.
  • Internal wall sheeting on Levels 3 and 4.
  • Ceiling installation on Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4.
  • Fittings and fixtures installation on Levels 1 and 2.
  • Floor finishes, painting and waterproofing activities on Levels 1,2,3,4.
  • Central courtyard façade construction.
  • Fitout works commencing for the Central Energy Building.
  • Commencement of structural steel for the linkways.
  • Commissioning activities

What to expect:

  • General construction works will take place on Saturday 18 March.
  • External artwork application on the CSB will take place (between 6pm and 6am) from 5 March to 11 March
  • Neighbours may experience some noise, dust and vibration impacts. Every effort will be made to minimise these impacts.
  • Single lane closure on hospital ring road leading into mental health managed by traffic lights and traffic controllers.

Multi-Storey Carpark site

Construction activities:

  • Roadworks on the hospital ring road between the multi-storey carpark and the private hospital.
  • Internal line marking.

What to expect:

  • Single lane closure on hospital ring road managed by traffic lights and traffic controllers. Carparking around private hospital area will be temporarily impacted during this activity.

Building and Engineering Maintenance Services (BEMS) Building site (southern side of the hospital campus)

Construction activities: 

  • Ongoing external facade cladding installation.
  • Ongoing sheeting, setting, sanding and painting to internal walls.
  • Commencement of ceiling grids.
  • Commencement of flooring activities.
  • Ongoing services rough-in installation. 
  • Scaffold removal

What to expect:

  • Neighbours may experience some noise, dust and vibration impacts. Every effort will be made to minimise these impacts.
  • Temporary resumption of carparks during scaffold removal activities

New storage facilities site (western side of hospital campus)

Construction activities:

  • Epoxy flooring application.
  • Roofing and metal wall cladding installation.

What to expect:

  • Neighbours may experience some noise, dust and vibration impacts. Every effort will be made to minimise these impacts.

Mortuary and Hearse Bay works (services block refurbishment works)

Construction activities:

  • Ongoing in-ground hydraulics.
  • Ongoing in-ground structure activities.

What to expect:

  • Increased construction activity and vehicle movements on the southern side of the hospital campus, near the public carpark.
  • Neighbours may experience some noise, dust, fumes and vibration impacts. Every effort will be made to minimise these impacts.
