Growing up only 150 m away from Kilcoy Hospital was bound to inspire Anita to pursue a career in healthcare.

Now, Anita is celebrating 30 years with Queensland Health!

Anita completed her enrolled nurse hospital training while lodging at the nurses quarters at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and went on to work at Kilcoy Hospital for 22 years.

After encouragement from her peers, Anita completed external studies and became a registered nurse.

She returned to work at Kilcoy Hospital last year to help with the COVID-19 response – there’s no place quite like home!
