Queensland Milk Bank Donor Screening and Consent

The purpose of this screening test is to identify donors. We need to ask the questions to ensure that your breast milk is safe for the preterm or sick babies.  There is some breast milk that the Queensland Milk Bank may not be able to accept and this will be discussed with you.  The Queensland Milk Bank staff will be in touch to discuss during business hours.

Distance was no deterrent for super mum Nicola! When her second born Elsie was well enough to return to their home of Charleville, she was determined to keep donating to us at the Queensland Milk Bank. Whenever she and her family would make the journey back to #RBWH for appointments, she’d bring an esky packed full of breast milk checked in as premium hand luggage, donating in total an amazing 50 litres.

We’re so lucky to have dedicated donor mums like Nicola! And a big congratulations from us on the safe arrival of gorgeous baby Connie, who joins big sister and brother Elsie and Locky.
