Associate Professor Melissa Eastgate
Deputy Director, Medical Oncology, Cancer Care Services, RBWH
Associate Professor Melissa Eastgate is the Deputy Director of Medical Oncology at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. Dr Eastgate has worked at the RBWH as a Medical Oncologist since 2004. Her main clinical interests being Melanoma and Gastrointestinal Cancers. Dr Eastgate is actively involved in Clinical Trials Research with both Melanoma & Gastrointestinal Cancer.
Dr Eastgate is also involved in teaching Registrars and is the current chair of the RACP Advanced Training Committee for Medical Oncology. She has a strong interest in enabling access to care for patients, having provided outreach services to Bundaberg for 9 years, and is currently leading the Telechemotherapy Service for patients in Longreach and Barcaldine.
