Dr Haidar Al-Saig

Dr Haidar Al-Saig developed an interest in medical oncology while working at the Waikato Hospital in New Zealand. He then undertook physician training in medical oncology as both a basic and advanced trainee at tertiary hospitals in Queensland and New South Wales.
Dr Al-Saig’s main interest is solid tumours, specifically breast and gynaecological cancers, colorectal cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer and palliative care. Dr Al-Saig truly understands and values the role of family during difficult and challenging times for cancer patients. He works closely with patients and their families to achieve their goals.
Dr Al-Saig is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Medical Oncology Group of Australia and is currently participating in a number of international and national clinical trials. He continues to enhance his specialist knowledge by attending international conferences and training courses.
