For the first time in more than nine years, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital has welcomed a set of quadruplets into the world.

RBWH staff are always going above and beyond to provide the best and kindest care to our patients. This was the case recently when a 37-year-old Bundaberg man with cancer was transferred to RBWH for surgery.

Recently, the RBWH Occupational Therapy team celebrated a very special milestone, with three of their senior staff members reaching 15 years of service to RBWH.

RBWH patient Ross Connelly didn’t think he was going to live to meet his granddaughter, but thanks to the team at RBWH, STARS, the Princess Alexandra Hospital, and an incredible organ donor, he was recently able to fly to New Zealand to do just that.

The RBWH Orthotic and Prosthetic Department may be hidden away, but they are certainly a busy team! Former RBWH Director of the Adult Burns Unit Emeritus Professor Dr Stuart Pegg AM has recently joined the illustrious ranks of Queensland Great. The Queensland Greats Awards honour individuals for their social, scientific, health, environmental and cultural contributions to Queensland.

Team Royal’s passion and commitment for patient care and life-saving research has once again inspired an outpouring of support for RBWH Foundation Giving Day 2022, helping push the final tally past $520,000.
