The Annual Volunteers Christmas Lunch is the first event in the hospital’s Christmas calendar, and it lets our volunteers know just how much they are appreciated.

The success of the second Redcliffe Hospital Research Symposium has secured the event’s position as an annual event for the hospital as a showcase of research at Redcliffe.
The award-winning run of the Opioid Stewardship Service (OSS) has continued with the service taking out the Innovation Award at this year’s Redcliffe Hospital Staff Excellence Awards.
In celebration of NAIDOC Week and in recognition of Redcliffe Hospital’s commitment to improving Indigenous health outcomes, a new Indigenous artwork has been installed in the hospital’s staff courtyard.
Redcliffe Hospital’s renewal and refurbishment will now include nearly $4 million worth of upgrades and renovations to services on Level 3 of the hospital’s Main Building.

Impact of the Year of the Frail Older Person Continues…
Redcliffe has become the first hospital across Metro North Hospital and Health Service to introduce Pyxis machine technology into its busy Emergency Department, with more Metro North hospitals to roll out the technology over the next six months.
Finding a car park at Redcliffe hospital will become easier and less frustrating for both patients and staff, with the state government announcing a plan for a new multi-storey car park at the hospital.
The end of the financial year has seen three of Redcliffe Hospitals’ busiest services reaching some major performance goals when it comes to delivering timely, patient-centred care. Operating Theatre Services, Outpatient Services and Gastroenterology all met and exceeded their set performance targets following the implementation of team driven improvement programs to help reduce long waiting times for patients.
Staff Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dr Alka Kothari, took out the research support award at the second annual Metro North Research Excellence Awards.
