This week we welcome a new addition to the portfolio, with the commencement of a new Director, so I thought it timely to provide an update on the portfolio and our leadership team.

The MN Board has now endorsed the 2022 update to the Metro North Strategic Plan 2020-2024 (2022 update). This includes minor updates to reflect our intent to harness innovation and learnings arising from the pandemic, the implementation of the Metro North Health Equity Strategy, and the intent to progress rollout of ieMR implementation (subject to funding).

Construction is a male dominated industry, but this week we had a demonstration of Metro North’s women in construction when Acting Chief Operating Officer Jane Hancock and I visited the Caboolture Hospital Redevelopment Project site.

Last week was National Recycling Week (8-14 November) and Metro North celebrated with a Recycling Showcase and Forum held online and at the RBWH Education Centre.

A short and sweet message today to share with you two Metro North Health projects that took out the top prize in the recent Master Builders Housing and Constructions Awards.

This week Metro North became the proud owner of Queensland Health’s first battery electric vehicle (BEV). To mark the occasion we have wrapped the new car to promote the Green Metro North Sustainability Strategy.
