FOBT is the gold standard screening tests for CRC in Australia but recent reports questions the previously reported sensitivity and specificity qualifying the test for screening. The project is trying to assess the specificity and sensitivity of the test to detected CRC in screening patients undergoing colonoscopy due to FOBT whilst on anti-thrombotic therapy across metro-north endoscopy units .

Skills required: Ethics approval to collect data from metro-north endoscopy units through the endoscopy system will be required. Literature search will need to be conducted to evaluate current available data . Data collection will need group approach and might require assistance from other researcher from other metro-north facilities. Statistical analysis followed by manuscript writing will follow.

Retrospective study in patients with IE requiring surgery at TPCH who had known cerebral complications detected by CT or MRI prior to surgery. The study aims to assess the influence of surgery timing, nature of cerebral complications, infective pathogen, current antibiotic therapy , and underlying valvular complications on the outcome of surgery.

Retrospective study through the Gastroenterology unit at TPCH to evaluate the endoscopic findings in patients with IDA on NOACs undergoing endoscopy and colonoscopy.
