One person who knows this place like the back of his hand is Bradley, our incredible Surgical Nurse Educator, who has been with TPCH for 35 years!
“I was here for the first transplants in the early 90s, and I've seen the hospital grow over the past 35 years. Caring is the same as when I started, it’s the way we deliver it that’s changed. New technology helps, but at the heart of it, patients still need the same support as they did when I first started.”
As a Nurse Educator, Bradley is passionate about preparing the next generation of healthcare providers.
“We’re responsible for tomorrow’s caregivers, because one day, we’ll be the ones needing care ourselves. I want to make sure I help leave TPCH well-resourced and well-trained.”

Meet William, one of The Prince Charles Hospital's (TPCH) Emergency Department doctors. 👋
Born and bred in Kaula Lumper, Malaysia, William then studied medical school in Ireland before moving to Brisbane in 2009.
He's been at TPCH ever since. 🏥
'I really love the emergency department and emergency medicine and really get a lot of satisfaction from trying to help patients,' William shared.
'I've had to bring my children as well as my wife to the emergency department before and I must say, being on the other side I can totally understand some of the challenges.'
'When your loved ones are unwell and you are feeling uncomfortable or they are in pain, sometimes you feel helpless. So, understanding what actually happens on the other side of the department actually makes it easier.'

🚨 Ever wondered what it takes to keep a hospital theatre running around the clock? Here's a clue: Stephen and the team in the operating theatres are instrumental in achieving this.
With 12 theatres in action 24/7, the skilled teams perform up to 10,000 procedures every year, handling everything from life-saving emergencies to planned surgeries.
Stephen, who works in nursing, says the role is busy and rewarding.
"You have an opportunity to make a real difference getting to know patients and putting their mind at ease before surgeries," he said.
"We have a highly motivated team, with over 100+ employees who keep the ball rolling in our busy department."
