Construction of 1500 more car park spaces underway

More car parking at the hospital campus is being delivered by Multiplex for healthcare workers, patients and visitors and to support the growth of The Prince Charles Hospital.

At the beginning of this month a crane arrived at The Prince Charles Hospital in preparation of the construction of a new multi-storey car park on Main Road.

The new car park will make it easier for patients and visitors to get to the hospital, attend their appointments on time and to see their loved ones.

Earthworks are complete and construction is underway on the nine-storey car park which will include 1500 new car parks spaces.

The new car park will be interconnected with the existing car park so staff, patients and visitors can easily get to and from the hospital.

Once the car park is built by the end of 2024, the balance of the construction site and the area around the car park will be replanted and landscaped with native plant species following consultation with local Traditional Elders.
