Communication Skills interactive Workshop (2 sessions available)
Are you a clinician who wants to enhance patient care delivery by refining your communication skills? Are you a nurse or doctor working with consumers who live with chronic health conditions such as advanced kidney disease or other life limiting illnesses? If you work in nephrology, palliative/supportive care or any other clinical roles that require navigation of tough conversations with patients and their families. Then this interactive workshop is designed for you.
Delivering poor prognosis news with limited treatment options, establishing patient-centric goals of care, being able to identify and defuse conflict during tough conversations and responding to emotion are just some examples of what you will learn during this engaging and interactive role-playing workshop. Highly experienced communication workshop facilitators and the use of live actors will provide you the engaging and interactive experience needed to fine tune your communication skills and increase your confidence to provide care that aligns with your patients’ values.
