Indigenous Hospital Liaison Services

Indigenous Hospital Liaison Services support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander inpatients, outpatients, their carer’s, family and extended family members throughout the hospital experience. They are located within four hospitals at Metro North Hospital and Health Services and operate as follows:

Monday and Friday    8am – 8:30pm

Tuesday to Thursday  8am – 4:30pm

Saturday and Sunday  10am – 6:30pm

An outreach service is also provided to Kilcoy Hospital.

Indigenous Patient Journey

If your patient is coming to Brisbane for treatment, the improving the Patient Journey (IPJ) team provides culturally appropriate advocacy and support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community before, during and after their visit to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital or The Prince Charles Hospital.
