On the 26th of November we ran our Clinical Guidelines for Major Incidents and Mass Casualty Events. The clinical guidelines for use in major incidents and mass casualty events was developed by NHS England following a period of multiple incidents that presented a range of challenging clinical scenarios such as blast injury, penetrating injury and the use of chemical agents, unlike those seen in day to day practice.
In collaboration with NSH England, presentations were heard from Stephen Groves, the National Head of EPRR and Justine Lee, Specialty Doctor in Major Trauma and Editor of the Guidelines. Please see video conference attached. Presentations were around the development and implementation of the guidelines and were followed by discussion time.
